No pictures were shown of Major Waldron's main clubhouse. It is a beautiful old New England farmhouse. Attached Image (viewed 114 times):

hi Dean, this is the old Ham farm. the house had a fire on the kitchen side(right side) in the late 20's early 30's. the club borrowed 1500.00 from Harlin Calef to buy the house and land. that was around 1934, 36 or so. they fixed the place up like it is today.(the inside) . scott Last edited on Sun Jan 4th, 2009 04:58 pm by scott kittredge

There is a history of the club at the link below. Asking price for the fire damaged house and 80 acres was a whopping $1800.00 in 1935.

Dean,
While I have enjoyed this thread and wish I could have made the trip from MI to help you with your shooting and target preservation (this isn't the Humane Society you can kill the target) mentality.
Its obvious that some of your problem is/was wardrobe or the lack of proper use of it. In ALL the pictures your hat is on BACKWARDS . I hate to break the news to you but your not a Rap star . The function of the brim of the hat is to help keep the sun and glare out of your eyes therefore enableing better target acquisition. This in turn leads to killing more targets.
I hope this helps as It's your first lesson of the New Year and I'm sure more will follow as the seasons change.

With the challenge of the wind driven (and halted) targets I think Scott was the only one who shot like the rest of us wished we had shot.
Rich, with the hat (on loan from Bob Fabian) sitting atop my head in the proper position it would slip down foreward sometimes obscuring the barrels of my gun from my view. . . so I turned it around, never having a clue that by way of some indiscreet picture-taking I would become the laughing stock of the PGCA. In the future, apparantly, I'll need to think about doing such things from all angles.
Yeah Dave, I wish I shot as well as you did . . . NOT

Dean, perhaps if you had worn the hat so that it obscured the view of your barrels you would have an excuse for missing a few more than normal
Sorry I apologize, I just could not resist
Scott, Bob and myself shot skeet today. It was about 20 degrees and the wind was only blowing about half as hard as New Years Day. A veritable heat wave, the sweat got in my eyes and caused a couple of misses

Due to the extreme low temperature my glasses kept icing up obscuring my vision, plus the fact that the view was so beautiful at the skeet fields that I had to keep lifting my head to take it all in and with my son present I had to keep turning my head to check on him...and ....and ...and..ah the heck with it I had an awesome time!
Dean ...I still really think you should give Bob a call and puchase THE hat...its just you

Dean, If the hat didn't fit then you shouldn't have worn it. Your excuse is moot as the truth be told you were unprepared for the conditions. Was this your first winter shoot in NH? .
In the Zen school of shooting you need to become one with the target. See the target (this would be possible if your headgear fit), feel the target, kill the target. Let the Force guide you young Grasshopper.
Hmm lesson 2 and it's only Jan 4 this could be a looong year .
