Sure Eric, but you can pretend to sleep most of the way and ignore him but I can't pretend to sleep at dinner with my darlin' wife, Kathy by my side. I'll need everyone's sworn promise to be the picture of gentlemanly manners. . . naw, that's just asking too much from some of you (and believe me, if I were traveling alone I might get us all thrown out anyway) so, nevermind we'll work something out.
Hey Suponski, I could use someone to run interference for me or at least be a character witness for Pete's sake, but I guess I'll have to brave it alone. . . but, come September at The Vintager's in Maryland. . . well, you know the kind of lady payback is

Well Dean you got me on that one... I could say we will all be on our "Best Gentlemanly Manners" but then we have Rich..... So I guess you are right, I can't promise anything with him in the mix . How about you and Kathy sit at the end of the table with Dave, Kurt and myself that way we could act as a buffer between you and Rich...Eric

Oh heck, we don't need to be seperated very much. All of this banter has been in the tradition of good sportsmanship and one-upmanship with a little jovial back-stabbing and verbal bludgeoning thrown in.

Dean if I can make it to the Vintagers we can pick on Dave. He seems to have a strong constitution for dishing it out so we will see how he receives it. But to be fair I have never seen him shoot so maybe he's the real deal so the jury is out.

Rich,I will be more than happy to be the designated "picked on guy"And if this can be used as more incentive for ya to make it to the Vintagers then pick away buddy As far as bein"the real deal" I as we all have my good days and my bad ones. But as my daddy always said if ya can dish it out ya better be able to take it
The real nasty part of this is that Dean and I are gonna meet up on May 10th and I know he is gonna show no mercy!
Dave....

I'm very depressed. . .
I shot low gun skeet last evening under the lights with my 2-frame twelve-bore DH 30" F/F and am sad to report that the best I could do was 17/25. . . woe is me I sure need more practice before arriving in Sanford but am afraid I will just have to do without. What to do; what to do... Rich, please help me
Dave, I'll be gunnin' for you at Addieville. . . You and your "Hot Rod" skeet gun. I can't wait to shoot that one.

Dean,I will probably bring the "Hot Rod" skeet gun for your inspection but I think for sporting i will use my GHE 16ga. clays gun.
I think I better do some serious practicing or I am a dead duck.By the way how much head start are ya gonna give me?
Poor old soon to be picked on Dave.....

17 out of 25 with a 12 GUAGE , holy crap this is gonna be harder than I thought . If you want to improve use a smaller gun. I concentrate a lot more with a .410 than with the 20 .
Perhaps I should bring a refill for the medicine .

Got my 0-frame sixteen bore hammer gun back from Lou Rotelli today. I'll take it to the skeet club tomorrow morning to see if he worked any magic into it. I'll bring along my 28 ga. Repro too, just to take Rich's advice

Good mornin' Dave. Mine is choked .017" R. and .017" L. and the chokes are 4 1/2" long. That's about light mod. in a sixteen isn't it?
That didn't seem right to me so I went and checked again and corrected the right tube from .015" to .017" There, I feel better.

Dean, I'd say .017" was a light mod. I figure .020" is mod. Geee, we have two guns each that are alike. Those spreader loads work great in the .020" choked hammer gun. I'm getting pretty excited about the Southern, and meeting all you guys. Only 5 more days to go.

I'll bring 79355 just so you can see her. The stock is pretty disgraceful but I have a piece of wood or two that I am contemplating for a restock. I'll also have the 20 ga. Titanic barrels that fit like they were made for the gun. See you there. Dean

Dean,
Just so you know I practice what I preach (well for the most part anyway) I took the VHE 20 skeet out for its second time. I shot low gun skeet and broke 22 . My thoughts on selling this might have to change. I used the DHE trap gun and my 5 stand scores improved from my last attempt.
This time Thursday we will hopefully put a few rounds through the Parkers and are enjoying a meaningfull refreshment .

I got my "new" hammer sixteen back from Lou Rotelli Friday and took it to the skeet range this weekend. He had made a new left firing pin for me a wee bit longer hoping to cure the frustrating problem I described in an earlier thread, that of the left misfiring almost every time. Well, it isn't nearly as bad, now only misfiring about three or four times during a round of skeet. I hope Dave Miles uses soft primers, they need to take a little deeper dent on the left side to discharge without fail. I just haven't been able to put in as much practice as I had hoped. Maybe Rich can make a contender of me I'm out of time now as far as practice is concerned. . . I'll leave the rest in the hands of fate. . .

Dean,
Fate, she can be a cruel bitch to those that tempt her without the proper justification. We will do our best however .
