Make sure you tell Destry to leave the hat at home, that damn hat box takes up two or three cases of shells ;)

I have coats and ties its just that they don't coexist in harmony with each other. Besides the ties bind my red neck which then begins to swell requiring copious amounts of Jack Daniels to reduce said inflamation, this then leads to impairment and then all Hell can break loose;). There are cheques written for Parkers and such things that can take months or even years to straighten out. I'll stick to jeans and a shirt than you very much:D:D:D

Dave we will have to allow space for the cooler. We can put ammo in it for the way out unless we can find something else to put in it;).

I suppose we could put Destry's hat box in the cooler for the trip down. ;)

Guys I got it, we will tie it down on top of Dave's truck shell or topper whatever they call it. It's light so won't damage the shell and then we don't have to worry about all the space it takes up inside :D I am sure Destry will agree to this... Eric

I'm actually thinking about borrowing the enclosed cargo trailer from work. But that will knock our gas millage down a bunch. We'll tie it on top. ;)

You boys stay away from my hats, you can just finger your greasy ball caps and look upon my hat box in envy. I never allow the unwashed masses to touch my far superior collection of chapeau's.

I would feel much better if the topic hat in this discussion was Destry's smelly old hunting hat, we might get lucky to have it get blown off somewhere in route to the Southern.

Time to find my Grouse bottle,Rog

Roger, you try packing around that damn hat box..... but I agree both hats could be tied to the roof and fly off somewhere in W. VI or Ohio :D

Eric,

Or better yet stop on your way in Detroit and you may get some beer money for them on Cass Ave!

The hat in the photo is a bowler thank you very much. You boys don't know anything about fine headwear. Roger has some slight idea, he's got a couple of good hats.

And as far as my hunting cap goes, that might be the finest piece of waterfowling headgear currently existing in the United States or Canada. It has been silent witness to the death of literally thousands of fowl in it's 25 year history. I will wear it unto disintegration and may be so depressed when that finally happens that I give up the gun.

Destry

Here is a shot of me in a favored fedora just so you nimrods know what one looks like. Note the fact that I do own a jacket and tie, making me eligible for this dinner just to stay on topic:

And here is the hunting cap (Jones Variety) in action on the Eastern Shore:

P.S. to Eric: That hatbox was a gift from my Mother and the handle is made from a leather thong that I found in my Father's old Boy Scout pouch. It rides inside with me.

Destry;

Your Carhart's in that one photo look like you have been eating gravey covered dirty rice right after getting your nose stuck in a dozen cans of PBR.

Don't you ever clean up your hunting gear?

I hope we are still friends after this blip of smart ass

Roger
