Gentlemen:

I have obtained the gun today.  Serial 13011.  If someone would be kind enough to tell me how to post them to this site, I will provide some digital photos tomorrow and we can all have a look.

Thanks, Al Zinn

Al, I'm not very good at telling people how to post pictures. So, if you don't get it figured out, just e-mail them to me, and I'll post them for you.

There are many records missing in that era, but that gun is among the earliest guns of less than twelve gauge. You have a very nice Parker to begin your collection.

Best, Austin

Al ... Congratulations on your purchase ... The Parker Serialization book doesn't have Serial Number 13011 listed ... But the PGCA website says that there is surviving information about 13011 so investing the 40 bucks for a PGCA Research Letter would be a good idea ... Please post some photos of the gun as saao as possible.

Ed Muderlak pointed out to me that the lifter guns were standard 0 frame in 16ga. So these barrels are likely thick enough so that you don't need to be too concerned. I would mic them to confirm.

It wasn't until top lever guns came that 16 ga  guns were 1 frame standard weight and 0 frame lightweight.

Thanks to Dave Miles help, you can all have a look at the newest member of your assocaiation.  Serial no. 13011.  Barrel mks: letter"M" and nos "3" (lg case) & "6" (small case).  Is this barrel weight before striking?

Barrel address says: "Parker Bros Makers, Meriden Conn. Twist"

Can anyone tell me the grade of this gun?

Al

Al, I think maybe if you take them off the white sheet, the gun might show up a little better. The gun seems dark and doesn't show the detail these guys are looking for. :D
