Could call the Browning Auto-5 a doctor's gun based on the thumbs and fingers that have been mauled by the action. I've witnessed a couple buddies' day ruined by them. Ouch!
Dave, the inability to properly operate a shotgun is rampant among most casual shooters. Go to your local gun club and watch shooters hit themselves in the nose with ejected shells, completely unaware of where those shells came from.
