Doctor's gun and Lawyers gun---where did I read that
I am literally losing my mind on this, I thought it was in Ed Muderlack's book "The Old Reliable" but that isn't it....nor is it in the Parker Story that I found.
I remember reading it in the descriptions of the various grades, but I am having trouble finding such information. It may be in TPS and I have just missed it. |
Don't spend a whole lot of time looking for it unless you can't stand not remembering where you saw it. The "doctor's gun" was nothing more than a colloquialism used in reference to the Parker D grade (grade 3) gun, since many doctors preferred and ordered them because of the nice engraving and the very affordable price. I have never heard the term "lawyer's gun" in similar use in reference to any graded Parker.

Oh its more just me trying to remember where I read it....
|
I searched the Parker Pages index on our site and found that there was an article "The Doctors Gun" by Todd Allen published in 2016
|
Thanks Robin. Maybe that was it.
|
I remember the reference to the “doctors gun” many years before Todd’s article.
Perhaps in Peter Johnson’s book or Larry Baer’s... . |
It wasn't Johnsons. If it was Baer....I must have misplaced that book.
|
Spellcheck really ruins the English language.
I noticed that it ‘corrected’ my spelling of Baer so I corrected spellcheck’s misspelling of it then I saw where spellcheck misspelled your word “misplaced”.... absolutely infuriating! . |
In all honesty that could have been my fat thumbs on cell phone keyboard...but lets just go ahead and blame spell check.
|
It's in The Parker Story.
