I am a collector, so I always regret that my grandfather did not buy more Parkers and higher grades. But he was a hunter and just bought the guns he thought he needed. He had no idea that the Parker gun business would end and that the gun would be such a valuable collectors firearm. He realized that later in life but at the time his guns were tools and not potential collector guns. Although he always held the Parker in high esteem. He knew they were special and always referred to them as his Parkers, not his shotguns. I knew, from a very young age that Parkers were special. My grandfather told me that and in my opinion, he was always right. And I remember from my earliest days seeing them in the gun rack. They looked special even to my adolecent eyes.
