I am out at Colorado Springs for the bunker nationals and a fellow shooter bought the L.L.Bean gun at Julia's. It is a CHE. The guy who bought it is a heck of a shot and was once the alternate on the Olympic team! Nice to know it found a nice home.

Brad, this guy doesn't have a name?  Who is this Olympic competitor who is interested in Parkers?

Bill: Sorry about that, Rich Chordash was alternate on the 84' team and I think he has made no less than 8 national teams and hold the senior record with a 288x300 at bunker. Tough,Tough competitor. He has this Parker.

Thanks, Brad.  It's nice to know that some serious competitors have interest in Parkers.   1984 was a great Olympic year for American clay target shooters.  Matt Dryke's Skeet Gold with his $300 Remington was what got me started in International Skeet.  Too bad Remington wasn't smart enough to take advantage.  How did you do at the Nationals?  Do they still offer Seniors Camp at the training center?  Do you participate in Seniors Camp or are you too young?

Bill: The weather is perfect but windy. Scores are a little lower with the wind. No senior's camp. With the 24 gram load the sport is really popular with juniors. I had one 24 but mostly just hanging in the low 20s. Rich Chordash mainly collects Ithacas because that's his home town. I'm a senior 1 (45-54). Brett Erickson the 4 time Olympian (including Bejing) is now a senior so that 288x300 is in jeopardy, no telling where the senior record will end up. When I was in college we would run into the marksmanship unit and Matt Dryke. Shooting a round of skeet on a unicycle or a round in under 1 minute and his trick shooting was unbelievable.

Rush Limbaugh listeners will remember that Limbaugh used the song, "Aint Got No Home" by Clarence "Frogman" Henry as the lead-in to his "Homeless Update" skits ... Clarence "Frogman" Henry said that he received more money in royalties after Rush started using the song than he did from the record's original release in the 50s.
