Default Emblem

Just picked up a Parker Double barrel and I've been doing research on it.
It seems to be a Grade 0 1901 VHE
The thing I can't find is what is and what was on the the Emblems on each side of the stock as in picture.
They are both worn and impossible to make out. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

That's likely a pin through the cracked stockhead or a cover over a pin of smaller diameter. If you took that out you might find a wood dowel through the head under it.

Leroy;
I have the exact thing on my VH 12. It's used to cover a stock repair at the head.

Leroy, I would not worry about it get it checked and go hunt. I would check for a crack under the string.
