Charlie,

Is the forend on the gun? Has the trigger plate been off recently? Anything done to it just before this trouble started?

Carl.

Send it to Keith Kearcher in Bend Oregon for a clean, blow out and make work. You will get away with less cash outlay than anywhere else and get your gun back quick. I he doesn't do what you want on your schedule, let us know.

I can't imaging both sears having the same problem at exactly the same time so I think it must be in the cocking yoke and slide mechanism. Crud maybe?

Dean, I was thinking the same thing, Crud. Pulll the floorplate off and take a look.
