Default I dont know what to think.

I just bought a Parker 16 gauge serial number 2408xx a 1937 gun. It is the first Parker Gun Works I have owned. Research shows it to be one of two consecutive number 26 inches with no extras VH guns made. The last two unless I missed something. However, I was not expecting to see Parker Brothers all over it, top rib, stamped on water table, grip cap and butt plate. Parker only on the bottom of the receiver with Parker Gun Works stamped on the barrel flat. Looks like they were still using the Parker Brothers name right up until the end. Don't remember seeing one with Parker Brothers stamped on the water table. It has some really great looking wood that I would have expected on a GH.
