Just thought I'd post a picture of my Fall turkey taken on Oct. 16. A nice mature hen taken at about 27 yards. I used my VH 12ga. 28" bbls. choked
.037 each barrel and using Kent Matrix 2 3/4" 1 1/8oz. #5 shot. I'm going to mount this bird for use as a decoy in the future so hopefully she'll bring in more birds for me.
I was hunting with my wonderful wife all last week and was lucky enough to take the bird on our anniversary. Pretty wonderful having a wife who'll spend their anniversary in a turkey blind. I'm very blessed.
