I think it was a little hit or miss in the later half of the 1920s. I have a damascus 12 gauge GH, serialed 220657 that has the peaked buttplate and engraved, flat screws. I also have a 12 gauge VH, serialed 217607 with the unpeaked buttplate and round headed screws. Based on that little sample, between 1926 and 1928.

Thanks bill
As with any Parker change. There is overlap. I have owned only a few Parkers from the 1920s, so I have not been able the get a good sampling to be able to try and narrow the year down.

There was no particular year. As stated - "There is overlap."
Certainly Parker Bros.' supply of the spurred 'old style' of the various sizes and styles of DHBP's was exhausted at different times and Parker Bros. (being the frugal business that they were) wouldn't start using the 'new style' flat DHBP's until the last of the 'old style' was gone. .
