Just Monday I had him do a letter on a VHE 32” I’d recently acquired and come to find out when it left the factory in 1909 it had 2 7/8” chambers which made me a bit more intrested in the gun to say the least .

That sure sounds sarcastic. As a new member, you won't make a lot of friends here by slamming a dedicated volunteer.

I stated a fact, the letter had creases in it. Then he replied only had 3 complaints not going to change anything and that’s fine but as a customer it doesn’t matter if it’s $40 dollars or $4000 that’s not a good response to a customer for bringing a problem to anyone attention , it’s all about respect you show me respect I will show you respect.

It has nothing to do with making friends

Chuck was responding to me James, not you.

Chuck and I have a great relationship and we understand each other's tone very well. I accept his reply to me and I truly respect his position.

You ordered your letter from the Research Director, not the 1500 members of the PGCA and 3500 members of the forum. As a courtesy, you should have contacted him DIRECTLY when you got your creased letter.
The $40.00 charge for a research letter is a Member benefit. Compare that to the $100 charge other organizations charge. You may think of yourself as a customer, rather than a member, and Chuck would have gladly sent you a new letter had you shown HIM some respect.

I am sorry I hurt your feelings, if you don’t want a reply when you make a comment, don’t make the comment

I am not a customer, I am a member of an organization devoted to Parker guns. I do not consider the members as customers but fellow travelers in pursuit of better understanding of these guns.
The PGCA is not a commercial enterprise. It is operated by people who give freely of their time and money to keep it functioning. There is not a commercial relationship.
I know from past experience that Chuck will correct any problem with a letter as soon as he finds out about it. No need to go to the group just him.

And i hope you change your attitude and find out that it has everything to do with making friends

When you receive positive attitude you give positive attitude, I simply stated a fact and was wondering why there wasn’t a cardboard backer to help prevent this problem, been getting Colt letters for 30 years with cardboard, lot of feelings sure get hurt if you question the Parker Kingdom

If there’s an issue with a damaged letter, I suggest contacting Chuck directly and then file a complaint with the USPS who caused the problem to begin with. Their response will be less than impressive and typical of bureaucrats.
