Phil,
Thanks for the best wishes. Actually your before and after looks much better to me after yesterday's hunt. My after looks exactly as my before.
We walked for miles in the Mojave wilderness. Finally saw five birds with no shots fired. It's been hot here also. We will try again as the weather starts to cool off.
Here is the terrain we hunted. Traditionally It's been good for some desert quail and chuckar but it was much more dry than usual.
