1 1/2 & 2 frame?

Default 1 1/2 & 2 frame?

Looking at a 1 1/2 frame VH 12 ga.. What's the difference between 1 1/2 and 2 frame size's?

The only differences are the width across the bolsters, and the height of the breech. All other dimensions are the same, i.e. firing pin spacing, frame width, etc.

If you have a copy of the Serialization book, there is a table on page 45 which gives all of the frame dimensions, for all of the frame sizes.

Some might say the 1 1/2 is lighter, but what weighs more, a pound of bacon or a pound of beans?

Which is why 2 frame barrels taper so quickly, in order to still balance at or near the hinge pin. Fractions of an ounce (.285 lbs/cu.in)
