That was unbelievable! I once did free climbing (without rope) and though the fall would have killed me it was never on something anywhere near the Eiger. I was taken with his equipment. He used his picks on places we would use our hands and set anchors and belays etc. Our picks were so different and heavier than his. I was also taken by his stamina. Like running a marathon.
