Bob it was pretty tough. It took us a week to finally get our turkeys. There was a fair number of birds but there were two hunts before ours.
The birds did gobble really good in the mornings but got pretty quite after hitting the ground.
All of the guys we have met and camped around us also commented how tough it was.
The birds we finally shot were brought in by getting hens to respond and the Gobblers followed them in.
Nothing like being in the woods at 4:30 AM and listening to the gobbles thundering through the canyons.
Bob I hope your season continues to improve. I have a fond memory of taking a Osceola with my 8 gauge with you.
