Karl, those 5/8 oz. loads should be very mild in a Parker Repro. I also found, in training my grandsons to wing shoot, that a good set of earplugs are the best recoil reducing device.

I want to see a pic of her with her first mess of doves, grinning like my 9 yr. old grandson after his first dove shoot, where he killed 9 fair chase.

I second Stan's suggestion of ear protection. It will also help prevent flinching.
