Nice move Richard! My most cherished guns are the ones I've inherited from various family members. None of them are Parkers with most just being rather plain Jane Remington's. Almost everything in my safe could be bought other than those family guns.
I imagine your niece will cherish the Parker more & more as time goes on and some day she will be telling the story to another family member of the day that uncle Richard came down from Alaska to give me this gun.
