A couple of old duck clubs in the Cleveland area in the latter part of the 19th century come to mind. Which one were you hunting from?... marsh?... point?

No marsh, no point. We were on Lake Erie pushed up against a break-wall that protects downtown Cleveland. Those famous duck clubs (e.g., Winous Point) and their productive marshes are about one hour west, and most likely thoroughly iced over.
