Much depends on what you want to do with this gun. If you intend to keep it and shoot it, then I'd simply try light 2 7/8" loads in it first. Maybe no more than 1 1/8 oz. at around 1150 fps. Then keep an eye out for cracks. It may last fine for years.

Otherwise, metal rods could be installed through the wrist/hand of the gun to help reinforce it. However, this is NOT a job for the novice.

I'd just shoot it first. The stock looks to be stout enough for modest loads. However, lock plate pin appears to be a bit short of full seating...

Hello,
Thanks for the advise. The lockplates went in hard after the finish was applied.
I will have to scrape some of the finish off the lockplate inletting.
