BTW, on page 67 of the "Winchester's Finest The Model 21" by Ned Schwing it shows a photograph of a Model 21 marked on the side of the barrel:
"Winchester 16 Gauge
3" Cham."
So at some point they were out there.
Last year Jim King had at 3" 16 Gauge Model 21 for sale on GI.
