i would agree with wayne s findings on the buckshot.. buckshot is a very effective if ranges are kept with in reason.but i have known of deer being killed at far ranges with it..such as one i knowed of was killed at 105 steps one shot of 00 buck hit the deer in the burr of the ear not another hole in deer..other long shots i ve heard of but these are lucky shots...quarting away shots arenot good unless a person gets a very close shot... i hope you get a good one with the old 10 ga...we ll be waiting for the storey and pictures... charlie

Last week or so a fellow on Gunbroker had some 0 Buck shot for sale in ten pound bags , it's gone now I kinda wish I had gotten ten pounds to try . Might just go to BPI and get some 0 , 1 and 3 buck . Seemed Hornady is just making 00 and 4 now .
