for some reason in the old days seems like the factorys loaded the ten ga in mostly 0 buck or no 1 buck..of the buckshot shells in my collection in ten ga this is what i mostly have which is few...i ve loaded the 000 buck in the short ten it holds 8 of them it really patterns good at 40 yards...i ve shot several deer with no 4 buck in the 3 1/2 inch ten i believe there is 54 pellets in a shell...theres 27 no 4 buck in a 12 ga 2 3/4 inch loading so a short ten should be ok with 27 to 30 no 4 buck... i ve seen several boxes of ten ga 3 1/2 inch in 0 loadings by winchester and also no3 buck in the big ten...these boxes of buck was loaded around the late 30 s to late 50 s..as every body knows there not been any short ten buckshot loaded in years but they do load the 3 1/2 inch in 00 buck and no 4 buck and these are loaded by federal..i have not seen any winchester or remington loaded buckshot in a few years... charlie
