OK - I guess I'll post this (as Bob, Pete and Scott seem to be in "the weeds" doing whatever they do.. ;) )

Anyway - if you want to come up to Barrington NH on Saturday July 19th for an informal shoot like here:

../forum1/5547.html

at here......
http://www.majorwaldron.com/

Bob & Pete connived George (there may have been graft involved - but I'm not sure?? ;) ) to open up both the trap and skeet fields for your shooting pleasure.

Here is the deal......

We'll start out on the trap fields - shoot both wobble and standard trap for a few hours...  After you are worn out from trap - we'll open up the skeet houses..  Shooting times??

From about 9AM to about 5PM.....

Rules.....  There are no rules...
Scores.....  Scoring will not be kept or recorded.  They may - however - be posted here - on the PGCA Forum - but, it's not like there are official scores....  Or rules....
Firearms...  Yea - OK - you have to come wanting to shoot Parkers - and if you do not have one - I'll bet there will be plenty to shoot.  If you have one or two (or more) - bring them up....
Wives, husbands and/or Significant Others.....  Are more than welcome....
Weather.....  Who knows???  This is NH..!  If you don't like the weather - hang on ten minutes - and it will change...
Prizes.....  There are no prizes...  Well maybe there will be..  I dun'no yet....

OK - so who might be interested???

John

I think the venue should be a competition for some sort of Parker trophy......the Dunkle Cup.  It will be awarded for the highest overall score out of 100 targets, 25 trap, 25 wobble trap, 25 skeet, and 25 up and down skeet.  Shooters must use a Parker Bros. shotgun (this will keep George from kicking our butts with that 16ga Fulton).

John I assume you will come up with a suitable trophy since it's named after you.

I thought it would be weird if you won your own trophy but I discounted that possibility after I saw at least one other person wanted to attend :D

I always tell the whole story...  I'm like Paul Harvey in that way - I just make my way through the "..rest of the story..."...  ;)

Based on Dean's shooting and now Larry - I'll whip them....

George?  Not so sure???

Bob?  See above about Larry and Dean....

Dave S.???  Notice he has not replied....  I think we probably scared him....

Bill M...  He has some "lefty/loosy stock bent way out of line Parkers"...  And a Gold dicey/thingy/inlaid heart thingy Parker"... Not sure how he shoots those - so - I'm good to there too....

As for you???  Maybe..??  You wearing your BIG BOOTS???  If so - I'm a shoe in (pun intended...)....

Actually John, if Larry makes an appearance I've got plenty to worry about - he's a very good methodical shooter. After all, he made Team Parker at the L.C.S.C.A. vs. PGCA Challenge. How many of us can claim that distinction?

If I can make it Kathy will be with me. . . whether or not she'll shoot is another question. She hasn't shot her DHE 28 Repro yet but I imagine she'll shoot it as well as you did John ;)

Hmmmm. . . Trap you say. I'll bring my DH twelve-bore full/full. Let's make it real interesting, John, and just like street racing back in the 50's and 60's we'll shoot for "pink slips" okay??

. . . always wanted a AAHE :P

This is really starting to take shape. We're going to have some real fun. To John, Bob, Pete and Scott - Thanks for putting this together. There are quite a few New England PGCA members who we haven't seen at Addieville, Sanford, NC or Pintail Point but who I hope can make it to this one.

Rich, I got no dog in this and no money on the barrelhead but I'm waiting for John to accept my challenge. If he would I'd quit work and take trap shooting lessons until July 18.

Lessons might be prudent:D. I'm no trapshooter thats for sure. I started out shooting trap with a M12 but never was very good at it, just to boring for me I guess.

I'm no trap shooter either but often break in the twenties with several 24's but never a straight. I too, prefer skeet and SC for the variety of presentations.
