Hi folks,
There are a few of us that typically shoot skeet at Major Waldron's on Sunday AM. Bob, Scott and Peter usually show up with Parkers. I show up with "other guns" and miss those damned little skeet thingys equally as well... Anyway, my lack of shooting ability is not the point.
Tomorrow (Sunday) Dean has promised to come to Major Waldons in the AM (about 9ish) - and join the fun. I've been shamed into bringing a few of my Parkers as well. Soooo - if you are in the area (NH) - you are invited as well...
No camera's please - we don't want everyone to know how poorly we shoot...
Directions to Major Waldrons can be found on their website:
http://www.majorwaldron.com/
Best to you!

Yep - I have a few Parkers you are welcome to try as well... Ain't saying anything 'bout what I'm bringing - but to quote Dunkin Donuts - between what you bring, Dean, Bob and Peter - and me - "it will be worth the trip"...
See you there, OK???

I too hope it doesn't rain but will probably drive over anyway if it does. I can't compete with Bob's BH or a goodie or two I heard John might bring but I will bring the Beast from the East (3 Frame 12ga 32" bbl 9lb VH). I am slow to get on the targets but once it's moving stopping my swing is tough.

Hey Pete..!!
I'm counting on you being there as well!! Also - whatever I bring - you can shoot as well.. And don't worry about your "swing through"... A longer barrel length will help - and I have just the ticket on that one...
As well - I'll try to remember a camera.. And if we all bring our Parkers, I'm guessing most grades/gauges will be represented...

Unofrtunately at the present time, 6:30AM, it is coming down like the proverbial cow peeing on a flat rock here. Weather radar shows a break to the West. Maybe it will let up in 3 hours or so.

Apparently - we need an executive decision here - and not being an executive - I propose we meet there at 9ish - and see what happens..?? Worst case - we can sit in the club house and ooogle over a couple of the Parkers we are all bringing... Best case - rain lets up, and we can miss some skeet..?? As Dean is furthest away - Dean - what say you??? (I'll call you in a bit as well, OK??)..

What a terrific day...!!! Every Sunday should be as good... Seriously - my thanks to Dean, Scott, Bob, Pete - and George... George isn't on this Forum. He shoots a side-by-side though - and is a gentlemen, and one terrific shot. At the end of the day, he now wants a Parker (so he also shows good taste ) Dean - we learned, is one heck of a shot - and we almost had to remove him from "Team Parker - N.H. Branch..." Fortunately - he felt badly about beating us handily - and started to drop a target or two - thus ensuring he may be able to shoot with us in the future.. It's up for a vote...
Anyway - below are a few pics... You can see the entire gallery here:
http://gallery.rennlist.com/cayennegallery/album70
Why we do this - some of the Parkers that arrived...

A few of Bob. I just liked this picture of the muzzle blast...

Notice the broken target in the background...

And Scott...........

The target as Scott swings left... He has wonderful form...

And Pete.............

Pete has big boots... And WONDERFUL Parkers!!!

And - of course - Dean - shooting one of the prettiest 16GA Parker Hammers I've ever seen!! Thanks for letting me shoot the first Parket Hammer I ever have, Dean!!!.
The pic below?? I have no idea where that bird came from over Dean's head?

Parker Pages Cover Shot....

My best to all... And my thanks again!!! I'm still recovering from Parker-overload....

And a couple of pics from Scott.......
These two are fakes - so we did not allow them to be shot at this meet... The top is obviously a Mossberg Silver Reserve - turned sideways... The bottom one is - of course - a CZ Bobwhite in .410 with a pin thingy to "look Parkeresque".... The Kleenex in the pic? Bob was crying, and tried to stash it in the couch....

George and Bob are... Well, I have absolutely no idea what they are doing? Ask George or Bob - or Scott who took the pic??

Parker Porn....

And oh - this is me. Taken by Scott. Who was in Utah at the time he snapped it....

And from Pete??? His contribution to this photo essay... A little photoshop - and viola!!
A BAND OF (Parker) BROTHERS..........

Dave,
You are more than welcome!!! In fact - more than you know..??!! Why???
RULE 1) Well - club rules are the "new guy" always buys the rounds for the rest of us.. A round is $43.27 per person - and we have six shooters (at least). And we shoot about 11 rounds a day.. And, you pay me in advance - and then I'll pay for the day - after we shoot, OK?? Now - by my calculations (hang on - I'm figuring...)
OK - it will be about $2,855 +/- a few pennies. George and Bob shoot pennies out of trees (see Scott's post?) - so, I'll comp them the pennies from my own pocket. Don't worry about thanking me - it's what I do..??
Yankees Fan you say? See "Rule 1"....

More seriously, tho'.....
We'd love to see you up this way!!! And you bet - if you miss as many targets as we do - we might make you an honorary member of PGCA - NH Division of Missed Targets... (Which, of course - Dean certainly did not qualify for - under any circumstances... )
