Bruce:

By "New York Salesman's Catalog" do you mean the long, perhaps 20" by 9" catalog with the beautiful engravings of Parker shotguns in all grades?  I saw one some time ago at a shop in NY.  It did say it was a reproduction.

What are they worth now?

Yes, its really great. Its like pen and ink drawings, a real work of art. I have a gun that matches one of the drawings and exhibit the drawing and gun together when we do a exhibit for people to see Parkers and their lore.

If people haven't seen this thing, I can take and post some pictures.

I don't know what they go for now. I suspect they are expensive, but Murphy knows all that stuff and he can tell us.

Is there any interest in the 1987 Remington material related to the abortive attempt to build the recreation of the AHE 20 gauge?  I've got several pieces related to that gun

Yes, John, I am a little light on the AHE reintroduction project provenance.  If you would email me to describe what you have, I would be grateful.  Bill Murphy  wilmrph@verizon.net

Al, the 1895 reproduction is normally referred to as the "1895 New York Sales Room Catalog".  The 1937 original is referred to as the "1937 Remington-Parker Salesman's Portfolio".  The Larry Baer reproduced 1895 item is occasionally offered and is selling for various prices from about $200.  When we get over the latest emergency, it will probably creep toward $300 plus rather rapidly.  It was mentioned in recent posts that the 1937 item is selling for prices in excess of $5000.

Bill:

Thanks for the info - I guess I should inquire as to whether the one I saw is still available.
