I'm new to this forum. Did Parker ever make a .410 bore shotgun? Were any of the reproductions done in 410? Thanks

If you're thinking it would be cute to pick one up for your 13 year old daughter....maybe she'll settle for a 12 gauge.

I'm thinking about myself, just think one would be a great little quail gun. I assume they are pricey, can you give me a ballpark range? Thanks.

You'll have a hard time buying one for under $20K, and that's a lower grade gun.

The "available" .410 Repro is the one made on the 28 gauge 00 frame. It is usually found as a two barrel (28-.410) set or a three barrel (28-28-.410) set. Within the last three years, I have seen one two barrel set offered at a Pennsylvania Gun Collectors Association (PGCA!) show for $7500 asking price. That price is only a far away dream in a purchaser's mind today. I would be surprised to see a 28-.410 set offered for $9500 today. The very scarce BHE 0000 frame .410 is usually offered for $20,000 and up. I believe Mr. Skeuse will still sell you a 0000 frame .410 in a package that includes the stocking (by ??) and engraving, previously (and maybe presently) by Geoffrey Gournet. I'm sure this package totals out at $35,000 and up, although I have never inquired. Whenever I have inquired to Mr. G., he has referred me to Mr. Skeuse for pricing and availability.

What did the Reproductions sell for to begin with?

The only advertising for the 28-.410 sets that I am aware of is the 1988 catalog and the accompanying price list does not include the two and three barrel sets mentioned by gauge. However, the 1988 retail price list mentions the D grade one barrel gun for $2970 retail and a two barrel set for $3600. We will assume that the 28-.410 set was included, although in real life it was probably a bit more. During that time, unnumbered .410 barrel sets were for sale for less than $1000 by Repro dealers, but no price list that I am aware of mentioned these. The price for unfitted barrels (no gauge mentioned) was $990. By the time the 1989 catalog was issued, the .410 availability was over, both in 00 and 0000 frame size. By the end of 1990, my August 1988 deposit on my BHE .410 had been refunded. Those who pressured the company more than I did actually received their BHE 0000 frame guns. I was not quite pushy enough. My mistake.

VH 410 for less than $16,000 CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP... 20 years ago you could buy a beater VH 410 for around $10,000 my gut feeling is it won't match the PGCA letter.

All kidding aside.....what a poor value a .410 is.
For $15K I'd rather have a BHE 20 or an AHE 16

Don't all self respecting Texans only shoot quail with 28 gauges? I know I do!
