Can you do pictures of the operation that Russ does on the hammerless lug to "fashion a barrel stop"?

Next time I'm up at his shop "Gratz St. North" I'll take some. We talked about it today in the duck blind.

Don,
Looking forward to future reports on the tried and true performance of the "Gratz St. Miller", and hope it's a winning success over the long term...

Had a Miller apart just last night for a bit of early spring cleaning, a wonderful yet simple design for something that works so well... As I mentioned to a friend recently, every "shooter" should have a least one!

As Howard Miller himself would so often say to a forelorn pigeon shooter staring at his doubling factory gun, "Boy, dat gun neets a triggah!"

My gun task today is to test pattern a 32" 12g Fox ejector Becker style pigeon gun with a Bickel inertial trigger developed from Perazzi internals. The trigger works fine but despite stocking the gun with a very high Monte Carlo, it still patterns both barrels about 6" low at 35 yds. Nothing was left to do to obtain a higher PoI but resort to a bit of Winchester M21 style barrel bending on the milling table. This has worked before, we'll see if it works this time. A lot of work has gone into this gun but if it doesn't shoot, it will never see the ring...:X

Don, I would fashion shallow sleek little sight ramps, sights mounted on the ramp, ramp attached to the rib by the old sight holes.  Without making it too noticeable, make the rear ramp a little higher than the front.  This should easily get you six inches or more at 35 yards.  Of course this only works if you have enough height in the stock, but then that is easier for you than for most of the rest of us.  Of course, this suggestion is based on the quality of your gunsmith whom we know to be quite talented.  It is also based on your threat to bend the barrels.  Your friend, Murphy.

The morning's test in a light drizzle was a success as the PoI is now flat. The Monte comb is 1 1/4"x1 1/4" down to 2" at the heel. I would call that "high enough". I believe I will halve the pitch with an oblique butt trim and call it done. It awaits a final polish and then the ministrations of Master Gournet.

What I could not figure out is how I couldn't sell a three barrel set for $2000 and this guy is getting 1 set for over $3000. Both would be about the same to fit or refinish. I think for now I'll keep it.

The 16 gauge 0 frame barrels are back on EBAY. #7215449979.  The owner had a valid reason to end the last auction.

Are those numbers listed as being "on the top" Remington repair codes?

They are easier to read when they are "on the top".  I had a nice email exchange with the sellers but I was afraid to bring up the "on the top" business.
