Default New member- Parker VH value questions

Hi all,
I recently acquired a 12 gauge Parker, VH grade, ser.#184xxx, frame size 2, weight 3.15, Vulcan steel barrels with bright shiny bores, 30" barrels, aftermarket Pachmayr butt pad installed. I am looking for approximate value and any other suggestions or info. I have verified mfr. date as 1919 via this site, but need further info. Please see photos below re; condition. Thanks in advance for any info.

It looks like a perfectly usable gun that would sell for about $800 to $1100 to someone who was looking for such a gun, maybe $600 to $700 if the buyer wanted to resell it. Nice gun very much what a shooter would want.

Cindy , what are your plans for this gun ? Did you acquire the gun to flip , do you want to use it to hunt or shoot? There are things that might be done to improve it's appearance but ultimately that will be guided by how much you want to spend and what your plans are for the gun. Andy

Given that this is an ejector gun, that will usually add a premium over a regular VH.

This gun looks well used and carried. But all looks like honest wear and it is in good overall condition. The wood finish looks original and the checkering is very worn down. The barrel bluing looks to be in reasonable condition. And it is hard to tell, but you have a good amount of case colors remaining on the frame.

Certainly this gun could be improved upon in some areas, and in my opinion would actually add some appeal. Loosing the white line pad would be one of them.
