Another Lefever

I didn't want to step on Bruce's thread so I started another. This is my EE 12 ga. circa 1901. Barrels are 30" Full & Mod. 14" LOP to front trigger. Drop at comb is 1 3/4 and 3 1/4 at heel. Weight is 7.8 lb's.
It's a bit crusty in places, but not bad for a 110 year old.

what is there not to like -

love the dogs, and all the metal treatment is done well, and great wood.

maybe a little heavy for the grouse woods but - very nice.

That wood is fantastic yet typically fantastic for graded LeFevers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but those dogs look too much like Joseph Loy's work to not be Joseph Loy's.

Dean, I believe you are correct in naming Loy as the engraver.Compare this Ithaca Crass engraved by Loy, same border, same scroll. The "quotation" marks at the end of the scroll are a known Joseph Loy characteristic.
