Default Double Gun magazine

At the same show I also picked up for $20 about 30 of the DG magazines - one was the first issuse and third. Also all the ones with Sherman Bells articles on testing the damascus barrels. I'll have some good reading for the next year. I'm not sure but think his 10ga loads are in there somewhere. Also got a bag of Remington high brass shells - traded some Remington STSs. I think the high brass looks cool, although my grabber only resizes half the brass. Doesn't matter as the shells aren't too big - they must have been shot in a double because if shot in a auto they would have expanded. Last night we were shooting skeet under the lights and I got to station 7 double shooting black powder before I dropped one. It was the second one on the double and because of the smoke I didn't see it untill it was too late. Oh well, maybe someday I'll get a straight shooting smoke.

30 DGJ's that includes the Premier Issue for $20? That's a great score! Within the past week or so a Vol. 1 Issue 1 that I was watching went for $87 on eBay.

There was a re-issue of the Premier Edition. I've forgotten how to tell the original from the re-issue, but in any event, you done good!

At that price you have enough room to get the index so that you can look up the articles you need.

I'm a charter subscriber and have two Premier Issues, after I got the initial issue I figured it would become a collectible, so I requested another copy. One is personalized "For Greg Baehman Daniel Philip Cote'". The other is signed and numbered "Daniel Philip Cote' 958/2000", but I don't remember which is which either.

Most single issues auction for about $10 each but the premier issue has always commanded a high value since the publisher ran out.

I think youl'd be hard pressed to find any issue for $10. I once saw the first issue sell for $250. I have them all as I bought out a collection some years ago and sold off the duplicates which paid for what I needed. It's fun and educational to go to the back issues and see what our Parkers sold for say 5 years ago let alone 10+ years ago.

I see that Vol. 1 Issues 1,2,3 & 4 as well as a complete Vol. 2 have recently been listed on eBay. These have been the two toughest Volumes to acquire for non-charter subscribers and those that didn't get them back in the day.
