What is the currant market price range for such a gun? Supposedly a gun that started life as a BH-grade damascus barrel gun but was back for steel barrels, ejectors and a beavertail.

Fjestad Blue Book says $11,000 to $30,000 depending on condition, then add 25 to 50% for ejectors. This assumes Parker work.

I have to agree with Bruce/Fjestad... presuming good to high condition, 70% or better case color, normal barrel length of 26" or 28" with BTFE and ejectors I would say $30 - $45K all day long.

If you can afford a current Blue Book, you are ready to start collecting high grade, small gauge Parkers.

High grade small bore good condition Parker upwards of $20,000.

Fjestad Blue Book $40 show special, or .002 % of the Parker price, clearly an ostentatious display of wealth. But my Blue Book is a special signed one from Steve so I'm sure it will achieve collector value status.

So anywhere from $13,800 to $45,000, depending. Not exactly like looking up a brilliant uncirculated coin in the book of values, is it.

If the BHE in question were in "brilliant uncirculated" condition it would command a value well in excess of the high $ number quoted in this thread.

The gun in question appeared at my gun club last Sunday while I was still motoring home from Alaska. I heard about it Wednesday and got to see it today. Down side it was already owned by a member of the club. It was 84040 which lists in The Parker Story as a D5 hammerless with no options and a straight stock. The gun now has 26-inch V-Grade barrels with all the correct Remington markings, ejectors and a Parker single selective trigger. The gun has a checkered butt, not a skeleton steel butt plate.

Dave, that sounds like one sweet little BHe... sad that it doesn't still have the original DD barrels.
