And when they did it , it was profusely engraved with a nice Roe Buck scene on the floorplate and a butter knife bolt handle ! I'd kinda like to get that one as well just for the engraving

That is one gorgeous Springfield! If it were mine I would get a piece of wood to match the quality of the engraving.

Actually if I got that Springfield I might go so far as to rebarrel it to 6.5-06 . The 30-06 is to plain vanilla for that rifle
