That Roe Buck was the main reason I wanted this thing !

Sounds kinda stupid I know but it's the truth .

The same guy that I got this from has a Springfield 03 Sporter that was done in Halzburg . And when they did it , it was profusely engraved with a nice Roe Buck scene on the floorplate and a butter knife bolt handle !
I'd kinda like to get that one as well just for the engraving

Here's the Springfield I made mention of and no I've not added this to my accumulation (yet).

Wow

Picking one of those two would not be easy

So you would have to take both

I wouldn't mind just getting the floorplate off the Sprigfield if it would fit something I already have !

That is one gorgeous Springfield! If it were mine I would get a piece of wood to match the quality of the engraving.

If I were to or do get the Springfield I dunno if I'd change the wood but I would most certainly get the thing drilled and tapped for scope bases . Also might swap out the trigger as it leaves a bit to be desired .

Actually if I got that Springfield I might go so far as to rebarrel it to 6.5-06 . The 30-06 is to plain vanilla for that rifle
