Hi Bill,
First welcome to the forum! Second, as some get their "undies in a bundle" regarding looking for value and potential "for sale" posts from nonmembers, I edited your post. While shame on them, please post pics and we'll try to help you with your valuation. Best to you! John |

Unless you post pictures, serial number, length of pull and what type of buttplate, you could have a put together gun with non matching Barrels and receiver. if this were to be the case, your gun could have a very low value instead of a valuable gun.

Bill,
Jent provided very sound advice. If your Parker DH 20 is really in 90% condition, it is worth a pretty penny! Please DO NOT sell it to Cabelas! They are in business to buy low (from you!) and sell high. Here is my suggested path for you: 1. Realize that the Cabela's assessment may not be the most accurate for a Parker. Still, if they stated 90% that high assessment of condition would work against them if they were to make you an offer. 2. DO NOT be in a hurry unless you need money now. 3. Shoot or have good photos shot of all areas of the gun and post them on this forum. - If you are not or do not know any good armature shutter bugs then do yourself a favor and let us know where you live. There is probably a Parker Gun Collectors Association member close enough for you to visit or meet halfway. - If you live in or near southern Michigan I would happily shoot a photo spread of your gun. Take a look at my albums posted with my profile. - I'm sure that you will find a PGCA member near you to do that or at least look over your gun. Your best price will however come from detailed photos posted. 4. Our members will respond with accurate assessment and value. Oh, do not be surprised if you get a few Private Messages (PM) offering to buy it. please note that one is supposed to be a PGCA Member to buy and sell guns via our forum! 5. When you decide on a price spend $40 to join the Parker Gun Collectors Association. There is a members’ only section of this forum for buying and selling guns. 6. Post a few photos on the For Sale forum with a price. There is no bidding allowed in Parkerland per orders by our wise and noble Governor John D. 7. If priced correctly your DH 20 will sell. If you are selling it too low you will have several offers to buy at the stated price in the first day or two. If it doesn't sell quickly wait you may be priced too high or it may be priced just right. You may receive an offer or two while waiting that you may accept. Given time, fairly priced Parkers will eventually sell on via this site. Good Luck, Mark

Bill-Mark has given you very good advice. A DH 20 in 90% original condition is or can be a valuable gun. Value is determined by many factors originality is the big one. Please post some pictures of the gun and the serial number as this can be looked up in the serialization book (if it's in there) to see if it is still in the same configuration as when it left the factory.
