Default Nice GH 20 gauge

For anyone who might be interested in a nice 20 gauge GH with fluid steel barrels that appears to be in all original condition, and at a reasonable price, check out this auction:

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=266047336

I know the seller from multiple transactions, and he is a real pleasure to deal with. Perhaps the Mrs. would like to find this under the Christmas tree?

I was thinking the very same thing when I looked at it about an hour ago.

Book says it was a 30" gun when new. I wonder if that might account for the price?

Seems like a nice gun for that price. Front bead looks like it might be a larger than original replacement. Hard to find any small bore G grade for that money. Little surprise someone snatched it up.

Nothing really to 'ask', Bruce. I was merely speculating that since it was such a nice looking little gun, and since VH 20s are fetching mid to upper 2Ks, that the discrepancy between the Serialization book length, and the length indicated in the auction listing may have contributed to the 'seemingly' low price. Will wondering keep me up at night? I don't think so.

Well then, maybe or maybe not. Or maybe Jerry wanted to sell it in a hurry and it looks like he did.
Only Jerry knows the answer.

The only thing I can state with any certainty about what Jerry was thinking is that he probably had dreams of thrashing brook trout with bamboo sticks.

Not a very good picture of the muzzle, but there seems to be a hint of a blank space after the Lyman bead. I have to read this forum more often!

Your eyes must be better than mine Bill. It appears a little out-of-focus to me.
You're not suggesting the book could be wrong, I'm sure.
