Picked up a 900 model P-W press in 20ga - was going to change it to 12ga. One of the guys in the shotgun room said he once had a P-W press and it didn't drop the powder all the time so he sold it. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with one. I've only used Mecs and hate to start the learning process all over again. Paul

I have only used PW 800-B and 375 models, so I can't really comment. However, after 45 years with six PW loaders, I can't believe that any model has a persistent problem. Ask on trapshooters.com forum.

They seem the Mercedes of shotgun reloaders to me. I see BPI has a bunch of PW parts/kits, etc overstock that is on sale.

Agreed on the PW! I have a 375C setup for 20 gage and another for 12 ga. They are so stout and adjustable I can reload 2", 2 1/2", 2 3/4" and 3" in both gages with very little adjustment. They can also carry a second set of tooling on each press and the changeover is not bad. It's not something one wants to load 50 rounds of and change over to another gage but the versatility is there. I used a PW progressive (old 800B) from the early 60's for 25years cranking out trap and skeet loads until I took a hiatus from clay targets (4 kids). When I went back a year ago on clays and trap there was no doubt what brand I wanted to set up with. Lee.

Ballistics Products Inc. the PW stuff was in their clearance/overstock section. Took me a while to find it again

Thanks for the replies - my PC took a crap and the guy why does my repair wook was out of town for a week. So I couldn't get back with anyone. Guess I'll call PW and get it up and running. Paul
