Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Most of the information available from Remington records points to sales figures and guns remaining in inventory on certain dates rather than dates of manufacture. The guns themselves, like yours, which exhibit Remington codes are the best source of informations about manufacturing dates. Some Parker Pages articles show Remington documents that give counts and sometimes serial numbers of guns in inventory on some late dates. One document shows some interesting gun that needed completion on 12/9/42. Another document, dated April 29, 1946, indicates that 241 guns were sold in 1942. The last year on that chart is 1942, indicating somewhat that no guns were sold in the years between 1943 and 1945. Other documents may add quite a bit of information to the ones that I illustrated. Rumor has it that Remington completed, sold, and/or gave away Parker guns into the fifties. Only the stamps on the guns can tell us when those guns were actually manufactured. What is the serial number of your gun which was apparently manufactured in March of 1940? What is the actual mark on your gun?
