Titanic Steel: Parker Bros. 12 Bore DHE with 30" Ejector Titanic Steel Barrels on a 2-Frame Made in 1905, Most likely built as a Trap Gun as it is without a safety, The barrels at .737 .044 & .045" (Full & Full), 2 3/4" chambers, "2" Frame size, .035" wall thickness on the right barrel & .0345" on the left barrel, Double triggers, Splinter Forend, Straight hand stock at 14 3/8 x 1 9/16 x 2 3/4" over a 1" Silvers pad, 7 lbs. 14 oz., The barrels have been reblacked a long time ago & now retains 90% barrel blue, No case colors remain, The wood is very sound fore & aft has about 80% finish, The checkering remains at 70%, The bores are with pits but it has stout wall thickness on both barrels. If you want a long range Dove gun with full & full chokes, it should work. No safety but you always hunt by yourself

I can't tell Bill. Somehow I think not. As a shooter I'm sure it's a fine gun but the price seems close to what's it's worth to me since it's been totally redone and has pitted bbls inside and out from what I can see. George is no dummy and likes to move guns rather than sit on them and has the best and most honest descriptions on the web. Is the buttstock original? The wood looks almost too nice for a D grade, or is it just that it's finished so light??

Well Bill at the risk of looking foolish I thought it was a great deal. Certainly a shooter but a pigeon gun none the less.

Question how many of these pigeon guns ever saw a pigeon ring? Mention the word pigeon and everyone goes ga-ga like the first time they saw TV. You would think back then everyone and there brother was a pigeon shooter. I bring this topic up because every book I own, pictures, standings, there always seem to be a few guys shooting and the rest wagering.

It was made in 1905 with a straight grip stock and no safety. I think there is a fair chance it was made and used as a pigeon gun. If it was made twenty years later most likely a trap gun. That is my opinion of the probabilites, no facts.

I am not surprised, it probably sold to the first knowledgable person who came across it. Pitted barrels aside the rest of it looks to be solid. When is the last time you saw a PG VHE 12 bore much less a DHE straight grip at that price in similiar condition?
