Default The Great Northern 2026 and Parker’s rule the day.

The 2026 Great Northern proved to be a great shoot as always. The vender tent was well represented and the club did a fantastic job managing a smooth shoot. A great club all supported by volunteers.
This shoot includes 4 events for a combined score:
90 bird sporting
90 bird hunters challenge
24 bird pigeon ring
24 bird grouse flush.

Brother Scott with his grade 3 hammer, son Brendan with his GHE, great friend Bruce with his VH and I gave em what for with my GHE and my grade 2 hammer. In the makers challenge Parker was 1st with our 3 high scores in the sporting event, Bruce was 3rd over all, and I managed HOA. We also had 2 fine young shooters Wyatt with his DHE and Cole with another makers gun.

If you have not attended put it on the list for July 2027. It’s a 2 day shoot that has a warm up day on Friday.

All the best friends.

We bought some guns dang it! I/we tried to say no but I am weak minded and easily lead astray.

The 12ga DH 3 Frame 32” I have posted in the general forum buddy Bruce bought. It’s refinished but it’s deadly on the range, shoots like a dream! I should have wrestled him for it, great find!
I bought a 12 ga CHE, 32”, vent, BTFE, SST, 1 1/2 frame, stamped 3” chamber on the side of the barrel lug…one of the 20 CHE Traps in Parker Pages…..likely #21 as there are no records for it. It boils em’ too, late 241, serial number gun.
Scott bought a wicked nice Belgium Forgeron with all the options, hinged trigger, ejectors, detachable side plates, gold washed internals…heck the muzzle is engraved.

Congratulations on the shooting and the acquisitions. We’re going to need some pictures of the C Grade Vent Rib gun.
