Default 1893 0 grade 12

Newest addition to the family. 30” twist steel barrels choked mod (improved mod?) and full. 14 1/4” to dog’s head butt plate with a fishtail top lever and 2 5/8th chambers. Only flaw I can see (just received it) is the right hammer is non original. Getting ready to take it and some Armusa and RST low pressure 2 1/2” ammo along to tonight’s 5 stand shoot. More to follow. Until then …. Some pics.

Looks like a nice example. Congrats on your newest addition.

Thanks Dave! Put 100 rounds through it last night. Shot a round of singles trap to get familiar with it and was then invited to join the squad at the doubles machine and did not embarrass myself. Took the remaining 23 shells to the 5 stand line where I did (but I am getting better). My doubles squad mates were impressed. I’m sure I’ll improve with familiarization. Very happy that all functions as it should. But after all, it is a Parker.

I own a twin of your gun, mine (794XX) was shipped in October 3, 1894 to Simmons Hardware in St Louis, Mo. It's been my turkey gun for the last 25 years. Enjoy, I would suggest you request a letter to document your gun.

Thanks George , letter was requested upon receipt and deciding to keep the gun. My s/n is 77237. Love to hear about the load you use on turkeys. 2 5/8’s chambers? Are you using 2.5’s or 2.75’s. I’ve a 1884 0 grade 10 gauge that I want to take a turkey with, though have never hunted them. Washington has three varieties to hunt. Always shot pointed birds.

I bought 2 cases of 2 1/2 inch Falcon 7/8 oz at 1200 fps of # 5 many years ago. These are deadly on Turkey if I do my job. Several of my Turkey hunting partners have "borrowed" some of my # 5 with excellent results.
This was my first Parker and it will be the last one in the vault when I'm gone.
