Default A BITTER SWEET ANNIVERSARY

I have a very bitter sweet anniversary coming up on October 1, the opening day of bird hunting season here in New Hampshire. On that day in 2019 my Lew, Star at age 8 passed after he threw a blood clot from bowel obstruction surgery. Thank goodness in 2017 I had purchased his brother who is six years his junior. I only had him seven years, but they were great memories hunting with him. His younger brother, Cody, is his equal in every respect. When Cody and I hunt on opening day we will dedicate it to Star. Star is the mostly white lew, and Cody is a true tri color.

I remember Star quite well.

They are with us a short time, but they leave their mark on us. Have a good season.

Always a bittersweet time that we have with our dogs. We all share your loss...and the joy of being owned by dogs. BTW, what is the origin of the exceptional artwork?

(I hope it's okay that I righted your photo.)

Of course, thank you for doing that for me. A few years ago one of our members daughter was in college and was doing artwork for members for a very reasonable price. She drew it from the picture that I posted of the two of them. It is an amazing tribute to them and I cherish it.
