Default Opening Day in Ohio

The mighty 10 gauge went to work on this beautiful Saturday morning. Today was the opening day of Ohio's early goose season. No teal were seen, but a dove made the mistake of buzzing our goose blind.

Im envious Victor! I was born in Ohio, in Columbus in 59. We moved here to AZ in 63. Still have family in Van Wert, they enjoy the same hunts you do. I've never shot geese or duck, but a have a Super Fox that's inching to do just that! Nice birds, great gun!!

Bob:

I use 25-26 grains of WSF and 1.25 oz of bismuth.

Great hunt, Victor! Hoping for some teal to wander through now (but it would be hard to leave that beautiful 10 at home).

Never duck or goose hunted, been an Ohio boy all my life, but live just across the river now in WV. Had a patient the other day from Jefferson county Ohio who is an ardent waterfowl hunter, he offered to take me out. My best friend has a lab, but doesn't hunt ducks much, is out in Montana hunting sharp tails. Will be heading out to the UP for 3 weeks of grouse hunting come mid October.
Keep those pictures coming Victor.
