Question New shotshells. CHEDDITE

These are on sale at Rural King this weekend for$6.99/box, 12 ga only. While I would much prefer 1200 fps or slower, these are certainly more affordable than others. The powder is a square green flake with some pink squares mixed in. Not advocating these in our older doubles, but I would shoot them in 2 3/4" guns. No, I don't know any specs other than those on the box

Let us know what you think of them after you put them to the test.

Harold, that may be Euro CIP velocity on the box and if so that 1250 speed shown is likely less than if the same shells were tested using our US SAAMI protocol. If CIP the symbol should be printed somewhere on the box. Trying to correlate CIP to SAAMI velocities - and thus recoil - can be confusing and is best left to actual testing in a ballistics lab.

Good to know, Frank, I'll have to read up on that. Have a great shoot at Hausmann's, I am unable to attend this year. Yep, it's CIP.

Harold, thank you. You'll be missed at Hausmann's.
