Default Damascus GH pic's

Don't see serial# on the barrel unless it's behind the extractor?

Serial numbers are stamped on LEFT side of barrel lugs. Your picture (1st) is showing the right side.

I think that the “2” on the forend iron indicates that it was a 2nd forend, likely for a 2nd set of barrels.

If I'm not mistaken the 2 is for "G" grade.

Eddie, Steiner is correct. The 2 on the forend represents the second set of barrels.

There's also a 2 on the water table of the frame and underlug of the barrel.

The 2 on the water table is the stamp for the grade… 2.

Each of those numeral 2s on your gun means something different.

The 2 on the bottom of the barrel lug indicates the frame size of the gun --

98974 01 12-gauge, Quality GH,.jpg

the center to center spacing of the firing pins 1 2/16-inch.

The 2 above the serial number on the watertable of the frame is the Grade of the gun --

98974 02.jpg

The 2 beneath the serial number on the forearm iron indicates it is the forearm for and number 2 set of barrels.

98974 03.jpg

The number 2 set of barrels should have a numeral 2 stamped on the bottom of the forearm loop like this gun --
