Hello Tim , If you still haven't gotten the Forend back on you can go to the task bar directly above where you are reading this and on the left side and click " PGCA Home , from there look down the left edge of the Home Page you will see in the list " FAQS " click that then scroll down through that page until you come to the heading " Parker Maintainance and Repair , Click That and go to # 7 in that column " I can't get my Forend back on ! " Click that and you will get a description and a photo on how to reset your ejectors and yes that is my hand holding the pencil and this method works great ! Just be sure to have a very good grip on your Forend as it takes quite a bit of pressure with the eraser to recock your ejectors and a Forend flying through the air usually doesn't end up in too good of shape once they hit the ground ! Best of luck with it !

I’ve pushed them back on the forend before with a screwdriver but if you’re not real careful you’ll put the screwdriver thru your hand . Just last week I had this issue on a VHE 20 and the screwdriver deal wasn’t working . A friend on the forum told me if I could get the forearm back on , lay a board on the floor put the muzzles on the board and try pushing the ejectors down with a hammer handle . I did that and the tripped one didn’t catch . I was using a gunsmith hammer that has a plastic head and a brass head , so I took the plastic side gave the tripped ejector a good rap and it popped in as it should be . Problem solved

Tim I usually cock them on a small block of wood by pushing down on it, and yes, do wear a glove. I've slipped and knuckled the rear part of the forend. I've also put the barrels on in the open position, and with your third hand put the forend in place and close the barrels. Usually snaps on and clocks the electors at the same time. I do it on my Smiths.

I think the issue is usually that people are hesitant to apply the amount of pressure it takes to overcome the springs.
