Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

More Pheasants in NY
I have been very busy with work and family and haven't had much time to post. But, I have had time afield with Grayson, mostly released pheasants.
The early season birds were taken with my 0-frame DHE 20 gauge with 28" barrels choked IC/Mod or my 20 ga GH with 26" barrels choked IC/Mod late season birds were taken with my 2-frame DH 12 gauge with 30" Damascus barrels choked full/full.
Grayson is doing very well and the two of us make a formidable pair on the early-season pen-raised birds. There were a few opportunities at doubles and I managed to pull off one each with the DH guns.
Our last release was on Thanksgiving, and by now the leftover birds are quite challenging for both of us. Grayson has learned to handle them well and I had to learn (through great expenditure of ammunition with nothing to show for it) to switch over to the longer-barreled, tighter-choked, larger bore gun. It was interesting to switch over from a 0-frame lightweight to a 2-frame heavy-weight and it took some getting used to. The RST one-ounce shells are quite peasant to shoot through it.
Here's a quick wrap-up:
