Default Cool hood ornament

Fella drove this to my church for the yearly homecoming service. Finest hood ornament I've ever seen, a fine rendition of a bobwhite quail in full wing.

I've seen that one before. But I will agree it is super cool!

It is likely a reproduction. JC Whitney used to have that one in their catalogs fifty - sixty - seventy years ago.

It was a Ford or after market accessory. New ones are about $115 on ebay, $130 with the thermometer.

Wonder if back in the day they were among the auto accessories made by the A.H. Fox Gun Co.?
