Default W & C Scott and son thoughts and value

Gentlemen,
I have run across a pretty nice double, and would like some input on it. I had the chance to inspect it today, and was impressed by the condition.
It is a 10ga hammer gun, with 32" barrels. According to a chart linked in another post, it was manufactured in 1881. It shows no rust or pitting, considerable case colors remain on the side, and the damascus pattern is very strong, other than where it is carried. Lockup is very tight, and the barrels ring like a church bell. The screws show no damage, and I see no evidence of the gun being re-done, but I am not a pro by any means.
The shotgun is going to be sold at a local auction. I have no real need of it, but I consider myself to be an accumulator ( I don't know enough to be a collector) of firearms and I am interested in this one.
The only negatives I see on the shotgun are 1 very tiny ding near the end of one barrel, and someone in the past screwed a recoil pad onto the butt. The screw holes are still there.
I am curious what the current value of this is.
Any input will be appreciated.
I am going to attempt to attach photos, we will see how it goes.
Tim
